This project is based on the knowledge and information obtained from the JSON Training Course available on Udemy. This application allows you to retrieve data such as exchange rates by reading JSON files shared on the internet.
The main objectives of this project are as follows:
- Gain a basic understanding of JSON.
- Learn the differences between JSON and XML.
- Understand how to create a JSON file.
- Acquire skills in performing JSON operations using JavaScript and PHP.
- Gain the ability to retrieve data, such as exchange rates, prayer times, and weather information, by reading JSON files shared on the internet.
To run this project, you will need the following requirements:
- PHP (recommended version 5.6 or newer)
- A text editor or code editor
- An internet connection
- Download or clone the project files:
git clone git@github.com:naknc/Exchange-Rates.git
- Navigate to the project folder:
cd Exchange-Rates
To retrieve exchange rate data, follow these steps:

In the project folder, open the
doviz.php
PHP script. -
Update the PHP script using the knowledge you gained from the Udemy course on how to fetch JSON data.

Run the PHP script to fetch and process the JSON data.
Example usage:
php doviz.php
