MojiPets is a virtual pet website with emojis, built by @ezwendel, @MikeChunko, @myriacore, and @njdom24 as a project for CS 546 - Web Programming.
It's built using mongodb + node + expressjs + handlebars for the backend, and html + css + js + jquery +ajax for the frontend.
This project requires a working npm and mongodb installation. Run the following commands to run this project for yourself:
$ git clone https://github.com/MikeChunko/mojipets.git
$ cd mojipets
$ npm install
$ npm run seed
$ npm start
then simply head over to the link printed in your terminal (typically http://localhost:3000) and enter the world of MojiPets! Once your logged in, you can buy pets and food, feed and play with your pets, and add friends and check out their profiles.
The provided database seed gives a few user accounts to test with. Make your own, or try the following:
