Describe the rationale for the suggested feature.

Being able to get more detailed information about an issue.

Describe the feature

Implement some ability to start a collector before all other collectors start, and background it.

Examples: start collecting system metrics, start a packet capture etc.

Then you may run some other collector while that is happening, then stop it at the end.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Manually requesting packet captures/metrics or using interactive support calls with customers.
