How to have a custom domain for only some repos?

If I set up a custom domain for one of my repos it seems to infect all my other repos with the same custom domain. Is there any way to fix this? I only want to use it for that one repo.

It seems like the only workaround would be to set a custom domain for all the other repo too, but I don't want that - I want them to use the default domain.

follow these steps:

1. In that repo, go to Settings > Pages, enter your custom domain, and save it.
2. For your other repos, ensure they don't have any custom domain set so they stay on the default GitHub domain.
3. Double-check your DNS settings to make sure they point to the correct repo.

No this is what doesn't work. The custom domain from one repo somehow means the other repos use it too.

How do I "remove the custom domain in their settings" though? It's already blank, yet the page is published to the custom domain.

Seems like this is impossible.
