Here are some of the issues we have with the experimental debugger (currently in PTVSD master):

Remote debugging not working on remote machines Remote debugging does not work from a remote machine ptvsd#578
Remote debugging works on local machines, but code hangs until a debugger is attached ptvsd.enable_attach hangs until a debugger connects ptvsd#545
Unable to stop/terminate debugger PTVSD needs to wait for a little while before closing the socket after sending the last message ptvsd#530
Unable to restart the debugger (possibly related to PTVSD needs to wait for a little while before closing the socket after sending the last message ptvsd#530)
Debugger breaks into handled exceptions with remote debugging Debugger always breaks into handled exceptions in remote debugging ptvsd#580
Debugger not breaking into breakpoints in remote debugging (could be realted to previous issue) Breakpoints not working with remote debugging with handled exceptions ptvsd#581

All of these used to work, hence I do not believe we can ship a new version of the debugger.

Closing this as issues are being tracked in PTVSD, and we're not switching to experimental as the default debugger in July release.
