ChatGPT Desktop Application on Windows 10 no longer responds when opened. #1391

I was using my paid ChatGPT account on Windows 10, using the Desktop Version (Version 1.1.0) . Everything was working fine: Then it wasn't. It started not working today 09/17/2024 around 8:45 pm or so. The browser version seems unaffected. I checked the ChatGPT log and it seems the IP address lencx connects with , connects sucessfully. Perhaps there is something wrong with that piece of hardware (says the software guy who always blames hardware despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary).

Or perhaps this is an impetus to move everyone to the browser version of ChatGPT ( I am personally not a fan of that scenario).

I have internet, I reset my router. I rebooted my computer, I deleted my cookies from my browser (though I am not sure why that matters for the desktop app). Nothing has fixed it thus far. I attached a picture at the bottom. It is reproducible.
