Chapter 9からChapter 11までのクリアカラーのコードには，次のようなコメントがあります．

float clearColor[] = { 1.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f }; // 白色

章によって値は変わっているようですし，コメントは外しておいた方がよいと思います．
