md-autocomplete: Scrollbar and viewport don't keep up with focused item

Using the keyboard to go down the items of a drop-down list with md-autocomplete, the viewport and scrollbar get behind the focused item. Something similar happens with md-select using firefox.

In this example, the last item is focused, but I can't see it and the scrollbar didn't reach the end:

In the official demo this doesn't happen, I'm not sure what the issue might be.
